Great Sermon - Paul Washer

If you weren't at my church's Sunday night service than you really need to watch this video.  Sure it's an hour long, but definitely worth it.  This video will offend most of you and will convict all.  Please, everyone has enough time to watch this.  Just play it in the background while you are checking your email.  This is definitely worth the watch.

Cousin's Birthday Party

More summer activities, but this time it's my cousin's birthday party.  After dinner, presents, and cake, a lot of us went outside to play some two-hand touch.

Day at Ocean

Well it's summer time and I just can't help post these things to show you why I seem to be hardly online anymore.

Yesterday we went to the Ocean.  It was my family, my aunt, and Daniel.
When we got there, there a tree had fallen across the lot and so we all had to work to clean it up.  Aaron got on the chainsaw, I took the weed eater, and my dad carried the parts of the tree that Aaron cut up to the wood pile.  After a while Rebekah, Dan, Daniel, my mom, and my aunt came and helped us out.

The weather wasn't too bad, didn't start to get real cold until we were about to leave, but there was still not enough wind to really fly the kit.

For dinner we had Hobo Stew, which, if you've never had it, is basically hamburger, potato, onion, carrots, ketchup, and a bunch of seasoning wrapped up in aluminum foil and placed on the coals of the fire.

All in all it was a fairly fun day, I'm glad we don't go here too much though, it's a really long drive and I'm not that big on swimming in salt water.

Home From A Week At The Lake

IMG_1976
Normally I don't write personal blog posts on this blog but today I will make an exception.

My family spent the past week at my grandparent's lake property along with Daniel (my sister's bf and one of the site admins).

Unfortunately it rained a lot of the time we were there but that wasn't too bad.  We brought around 20 DVDs with us and my laptop.  When it wasn't raining we went boating, walking around the lake and in what we call the Christmas tree farm, and Dan and I practiced passing with our juggling.

All in all it was fun week, even if the weather wasn't the most cooperative.

Welfare Poem

I got this email from a friend and thought it was very interesting.

I cross border Poor and broke,
Take bus to See employment folk.

Nice man treat me Good in there,
Say I need to See welfare.

Welfare say 'You come no more,
We send cash Right to your door.'

Welfare checks They make you wealthy,
Medicaid it keep You healthy!

By and by I got lots money,
Thanks to you, American dummy

Write to friends In motherland,
Tell them 'come Fast as you can.'

They come in box vans And Ford trucks,
I buy big house With welfare bucks.

They come here, We live together,
More welfare checks And it get BETTER!

Fourteen families, They moving in,
But neighbor's patience Wearing thin.

Finally white guy Moves away,
I buy HIS house, And then I say,

'Find more illegals For house to rent.'
And in the yard I put a tent.

Send for family They just trash,
But they, too, Get the welfare cash!

Everything is Very good,
And soon we Own the neighborhood.

We have hobby It's called breeding,
Welfare pay For baby feeding.

Kids need dentist? Wife need pills?
We get free! We got no bills!

American crazy! He pay all year,
To keep our welfare Running here.

We think America darn good place!
Too darn good for white man race.

If they no like us, they can scram,
Got lots of room in Pakistan.

It is interesting that the federal government Provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890.00 and each can also get an additional $580.00 in social assistance for a total of $2,470.00.
This compares very well to a single pensioner who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50 years can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012.00 in old age pension & Guaranteed Income Supplement.
Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!
Lets send this to all Americans, so we can all be ticked off and maybe we can get the refugees cut back to $1,012.00 and the pensioners up to $2,470 00 and enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the Government over the last 40 or 50 years.

Is Christianity Just Becoming A Name?

When reading the title you may be thinking, "What do you mean, I thought someone like you would already know that the word Christian is thrown around a lot without meaning."  And that is entirely true, I am aware of that, but I would also like to keep reminding people of this as well.

When I was visiting Facebook I saw this ad.
Christian1

I thought this is interesting, obviously Facebook goes through my profile and notices that I am a Christian and single so they decided to show me this ad.  This got me wondering, "The word Christian was all over the ad, I wonder if I go to the site if I will be able to notice it."
I clicked on the link and this is what I saw:
Christian2

So what so far shows me that this is a Christian site?  Oh yes, it says Christian right above the even bigger word SPICY.
I tried creating an account to see what kind of site this is on the inside.  But instead of creating an account where I thought I was, they forwarded me to another site called True.
Christian3

Then when the true site came up, what do you think I saw on the side?
Christian4

How can this image, or images like this be even remotely considered to be Christian?  I realized I had left the "Christian" part of the site and had been thrown into this mess called online dating.

This takes us back to what I said at the beginning of the post with an example to entrap Christians by using the word Christian until you get far enough into it.  I'll admit, the first page didn't seem too immodest, but as I kept going the images just got worse and worse and worse until I couldn't take it anymore.  The homepage now looks like this:
Christian5

What started looking like a Christian site ended up being a girl sitting on some guys back dressed immodestly.

What is my point in all this?  It seems we in America have forgotten what it is to be Christian.  These ads have to work, or else they wouldn't be using them.  We feel we can justify anything by putting the word "Christian" before it and in doing so enslave ourselves and others to Satan.  The Devil is really targeting Christians online in an all out battle and we need to be ready.
