Miro, Is TV Dead?

For a long time people have been getting their entertainment, news, and sports from a dedicated box sitting in their living rooms called a TV.  Only recently with these faster Internet connections have new mediums come out.
2008-05-29_2107Miro1 Miro is a program that allows you to subscribe with online video channels (aka video podcasts or videocasts) and watch them whenever you want with its built in player.  The videos play at amazingly good quality and the interface is beautiful.
Miro2 Miro has it's own built in Guide with videos that the creators of Miro recommend, but it supports videos from anywhere including YouTube, Blip.TV, Yahoo Video, and many other video sites.
Miro3 The results are displayed and easily downloaded with one click.  These downloads are added to your library which Miro automatically maintains.  To save hard drive space you can easily tell Miro how long you want it to keep the videos before deleting them.

If you are wanting to make the jump to watch more of your media online Miro is definitely the best player/catcher to use.  It is to video what iTunes has become to audio.
