A little while ago Microsoft release a very interesting product called World Wide Telescope. 
This product is a lot like Google Earth except for outer space. You can zoom into nebulas, constellations, and even other planets. 
I'm at a loss for how to describe this program, it is so fluent and beautiful it's hard to believe it came from Microsoft. Check it out, it's a free download and you won't be sorry.
They even offer guided tours of different consolations and areas of outer space.
